The book comes with a free Audio-Video CD. Epic and Music consists of five Chapters each of which covering a different aspect of music and epic in Persian context. The impact of musical form and Persian poetry is the first chapter of this book. This chapter provides the basics of Epical poem and music and its fundamental concepts written by Fatemeh Mirtaheri.
The second chapter examines the Taziye, one of the theatrical forms of Persian performances and its relations to epics written by Said Afzoontar. The third chapter considers a case study in Mazandaran, Northern Province of Iran, called Hozhabr Sultan written by Iraj Naimai. The forth chapter analytically examines two compositions on Epic music genre by Hamid Dibazar. The final chapter examines the old and new music genres in epic music and their impacts on power balances in the world written by Mohammad R. Azadehfar.
